The Kenda Drive-In is the only open year round drive-in movie theater in Arkansas. I features state of the art sound and projection equipment, showing first run movies. Established in 1966 the theater is more popular than ever. People, especially with families, come from through out Arkansas and southern Missouri to experience this clean modern/retro movie going experience.
In addition to the new downtown Raccoon Springs Park under construction, there is the Hattie House youth park and the Community Center Park which features swimming pool, tennis courts, and softball fields.
Our Western Heritage is an important part of who we are. For 76 years the Flintrock Saddle has maintained an arena for a variety of events. Rodeos, horse shows, roping, and summer youth programs (FCS Playdays) are just some of the now year round activities which make this an active part of Marshall.
Festivals and Fair
In addition to the September County Fair, a number or other festivals occur in Marshall throughout the year. Events such as the Chocolate Roll Festival (Searcy County is the Chocolate Capital of the World) occur during the month of March. For more information on all the other parades, festivals, and fair check the Calendar of Events. Read More...
Vintage Car Shows -ThrowBack Thursdays
Throughout the summer the Kenda Drive-In hosts a series of vintage car (pre-1980) events, called ThrowBack Thursdays. Entry is free to car owners and the walk-in public. As part of the package a free nostalgic car themed movie is included. These occur the last Thursday in the month during April - July.
